Hopper trucks are now mainly used as continuous conveying equipment for conveying powdery, granular and small lumpy materials vertically or at large inclination angles. The advantages of the bucket elevator are simple and compact structure and small cross-sectional size. With the hopper car can significantly save floor space; large lifting height; good sealing, can avoid pollution of the environment. Disadvantages are sensitivity to overload; easy wear of hopper and traction parts; limited variety of materials to be conveyed. The principle of this equipment is that the enclosed hauling parts are wound on the upper and lower sprockets, which are tensioned by the tensioning device on the base through the lower redirecting sprockets driven by the upper driving device. The material enters from the lower inlet and is lifted to the upper part by the hopper. When the hopper goes around the upper sprocket, the material is thrown out under the action of gravity and centrifugal force, and then conveyed to the silo or other equipment through the discharge port. The hopper carriage forms an infinite closed loop with an ascending load branch and a descending no-load return branch.
